Vice President, Translational Biology

Role: Head of Translational Biology leading research on nucleic acid delivery for genomic medicines at Mirai Bio. Objectives: develop innovative non-viral delivery vectors with cell-specific targeting and enhanced functional delivery, supporting next-generation genetic therapies. Responsibilities: oversee discovery programs including in vitro and in vivo proof-of-concept studies in small and large animals; design and troubleshoot experiments; manage collaborations with industry partners; establish project timelines, priorities, and resource planning; lead and develop a team of scientists and research associates; present findings internally and externally. Requirements: Ph.D. in Immunology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or related; 8+ years in in vivo delivery research within biopharma; expertise in pharmacology, nucleic acid therapeutics, immunology, biodistribution; prior management experience; strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
