Responsibilities:
- Direct and inspire Regeneron’s Neuroscience preclinical team (~50 researchers), supervising senior leadership, setting vision, and establishing short- and long-term goals.
- Communicate neuroscience priorities and goals from Senior Leadership to the broader team.
- Identify new strategies and technologies (including genetic medicines) for novel targets and approaches.
- Set priorities and make progression/go-no-go decisions for targets and projects; ensure understanding of processes moving targets from preclinical research through clinical development.
- Participate in departmental, cross-functional, senior leadership, and external meetings; represent Neuroscience vision to leadership and collaborators.
- Collaborate across therapeutic focus areas and technology groups to advance neuroscience as a systems-level endeavor.
- Identify, mentor, and develop team members; provide opportunities, visibility, and challenge.
- Conduct or oversee review of neuroscience documents (e.g., regulatory submissions, manuscripts, contracts).

Qualifications/Skills:
- Deep and broad expertise in neuroscience (essential).
- Cutting-edge technology familiarity (including genetic medicines) and proven experience applying it to neuroscience questions (essential).
- Strong written and oral communication skills (essential).
- Strong leadership with managerial/mentorship experience (essential).
- Experience administratively directing a group (managing budget/organization) (essential).
- Exposure to drug development or regulated activities (highly desirable).
- Broad collaborator network and strong publication record; national/international reputation (desirable).
- At least 10 years post-PhD (20+ desirable); minimum 5 years in industry or translational setting.

- Salary range (annual): $300,000.00–$500,000.00.
