Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the U.S. market access strategy for the oncology lead asset and portfolio.
- Establish a value and access vision aligning clinical differentiation with payer, provider, and patient needs.
- Lead market access planning from pre-launch through commercialization.
- Build and lead a market access organization (payer marketing, national accounts, trade & distribution, patient support, pricing, access operations).
- Develop payer engagement strategies to secure optimal coverage, reimbursement, and formulary positioning.
- Build/manage relationships with commercial payers, Medicare/Medicaid, integrated delivery networks, and specialty pharmacy stakeholders.
- Lead account planning and contract strategy for national and regional payers.
- Anticipate and address reimbursement barriers.
- Lead launch pricing strategy and gross-to-net planning.
- Oversee contracting across payers, specialty pharmacies, and distribution partners.
- Partner with Finance to model access scenarios, rebate strategies, and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with pricing and government reporting requirements.
- Design/implement specialty distribution and channel strategy.
- Lead specialty pharmacy/distributor/3PL selection and management; establish channel metrics and governance.
- Ensure launch readiness across distribution, inventory, and access pathways.
- Develop patient support/access programs to improve initiation and persistence; oversee hub services, benefits verification, copay assistance, PAPs, and reimbursement support.
- Partner with Medical Affairs/HEOR on evidence generation supporting payer value propositions; translate evidence into payer communications.
- Serve as commercial market access lead for launch readiness; partner cross-functionally with Medical, Regulatory/Legal, and Commercial Operations.
- Recruit, develop, and retain market access talent; build organizational structure and capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree required; MBA/PharmD/MPH or related preferred.
- 15+ years biopharma experience with significant market access leadership.
- Demonstrated success leading oncology market access strategy.
- Experience building market access capabilities in emerging biotech and/or leading oncology launches.
- Deep expertise across payer marketing, national accounts, pricing, contracting, reimbursement, trade/distribution, and patient services.
- Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
