Vice President - Data Science

Role: Senior leadership of AI-driven clinical insights and predictive modeling at Caris, focusing on developing molecular signatures from multi-omic data to inform prognosis and therapy response. Responsibilities: define strategy for AI signature development, oversee model creation and validation, ensure regulatory compliance, deploy AI pipelines within clinical reporting infrastructure, and lead multidisciplinary teams of data scientists and biological researchers. Collaborate with executive, R&D, clinical, medical, regulatory, and commercial teams to translate AI innovations into clinically meaningful tools. Set organizational goals, standards, and governance for model lifecycle and data integrity, and drive scalable, reproducible AI solutions for precision medicine. Requirements: PhD in Data Science, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields; 10+ years of experience in machine learning applied to biomedical data; proficiency in Python, SQL, and large-scale multi-omic datasets; experience with clinical datasets, biomarker discovery, and regulatory environments; proven leadership skills. Preferred: experience in regulated clinical labs (CAP/CLIA), cloud platforms, and physician-facing product translation. WorkSetup: onsite at Phoenix, AZ, with potential travel; requires regular in-person presence.
