Vice President, Customer Engagement Strategy and Transformation (Raritan, NJ or Horsham, PA)
Purpose
- Set strategy and execution of the global Customer Engagement Strategy for J&J Innovative Medicine (e.g., CONNEXT CRM Program, Generative Engine Optimization, Content Management System) to drive competitiveness, execution, and optimization.
- Define use cases, identify capabilities, scale across TAs, and operationalize next-generation capabilities across GCSO.
- Lead IM-wide CRM transformation across commercial and medical functions; define business processes and connect CRM efforts across R&D, Commercial, and Global Medical Affairs.
You Will Be Responsible For
- Lead enterprise-wide customer engagement transformation strategy, priorities, standardization, and investment focus.
- Own global product strategy/roadmap for customer engagement capabilities and content management platforms.
- Drive compliant, scalable customer engagement orchestration (Safety/PV, Quality, Regulatory, Legal, Healthcare Compliance).
- Chair governance forums (Customer Engagement Steering Committee, CONNEXT decision bodies) and drive AI-enabled initiatives.
- Shape future-state ecosystem (e.g., One Line of Sight, Customer 360, H1 migration to CONNEXT).
- Lead global deployment/adoption of strategic capabilities; ensure value realization and scalability.
- Lead organization (5 Sr Director/Director leaders; 10+ indirect reports).
- Oversee external partner ecosystem (Salesforce, Veeva, cloud/data/context providers).
- Provide external thought leadership and represent J&J in industry forums.
Qualifications/Requirements
- BA/BS; MS/MBA; PhD preferred.
- 15+ years leading global enterprise transformation/product strategy in matrix organizations.
- Extensive pharma/biotech/life sciences experience in customer engagement and commercial/medical affairs transformation.
- Proven enterprise transformation leadership across regions/functions; strong governance, execution, and measurable outcomes.
- CRM/customer engagement expertise and ability to link product/process/data/technology to business impact.
- Experience influencing VP/C-suite stakeholders; strong decision-making and risk-based investment oversight.

The anticipated base pay range is $218,000.00 - $401,350.00.
