Vice President, Commercial Data & AI

Role: Vice President, Commercial Data & AI at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, leading the strategy and execution of data, data science, and AI initiatives across the commercial value chain. Responsibilities: partner with senior leaders to identify high-impact AI opportunities, develop multi-year strategies, and manage a portfolio of data and AI programs; lead the development of generative and agentic AI capabilities, establish scalable AI platforms, and embed responsible AI governance; build and lead a high-performing, cross-functional team of 80+ professionals; drive adoption and change management to ensure AI solutions deliver measurable value. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or related field; 15+ years of experience in delivering large-scale data and AI solutions, including leading multidisciplinary teams; deep technical fluency in modern ML, large language models, and cloud platforms; demonstrated success in deploying generative AI and managing enterprise data platforms; strong leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder influence skills. High-Value: enterprise AI in healthcare/pharmaceuticals, portfolio management, responsible AI governance, GenAI/agentic systems, and AI platform development. Work Setup: hybrid (3 days on-site in Titusville, NJ, Raritan, NJ, or Horsham, PA; up to 10% travel). Preference for candidates with pharmaceutical domain expertise and experience managing external vendors.
