Vice President, Clinical Development – Inflammation

The Vice President, Clinical Development – Inflammation is the senior clinical development leader responsible for defining strategy, setting priorities, driving execution, and providing integrated portfolio leadership across Th2-mediated allergic diseases, rheumatology, and B-cell–mediated autoimmune disease. Oversees a portfolio spanning multiple assets, indications, development stages, and external collaborations; partners to ensure strategies are scientifically rigorous, operationally feasible, regulatory-aligned, and integrated with broader objectives. Leads clinical development leaders and matrixed cross-functional teams; sets priorities, manages development risks, supports governance decisions, and ensures high-quality execution.

Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee Development Leads and multidisciplinary matrix teams advancing programs across Th2-mediated allergic diseases, rheumatologic diseases, and B-cell–mediated autoimmune diseases.
- Set portfolio priorities across assets, disease areas, mechanisms of action, and indications.
- Manage clinical development strategy and execution from pre-IND through late stage development (scientific rigor, operational excellence, regulatory alignment).
- Lead development strategy for key partnered assets (incl. business development/acquisition programs).
- Serve as senior development representative for strategic alliances and governance committees.
- Build relationships with external collaborators, experts, investigators, regulators, and stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (Research, Commercial, Corporate Development, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, Biometrics).
- Represent externally; serve as company expert/thought leader.
- Ensure programs meet scientific, quality, compliance, and ethical standards.
- Attract, develop, mentor, and retain clinical talent.

Education & Qualifications:
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. required; 10+ years relevant industry experience preferred.
- Significant pharma/biotech clinical development experience (global leadership, cross-functional governance).
- Deep expertise in inflammation/immunology/rheumatology/autoimmune/allergy-immunology or related areas.
- Proven success from early development through registration/lifecycle management.
- Experience leading complex multi-asset/multi-stage portfolios.
- Experience managing strategic alliances/partnerships.
- Strong understanding of global regulatory requirements; experience with major health authorities.
- Track record influencing executive-level decisions in highly matrixed organizations.
- Exceptional strategic, portfolio management, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
