Role: Vice President, Clinical Development in Ophthalmology at 4DMT, leading global efforts in intravitreal genetic medicines for retinal diseases, including wet age-related macular degeneration (Phase 3) and diabetic macular edema. Responsibilities: oversee medical monitoring across clinical trials, guide study design, review data, prepare regulatory documents (protocols, INDs, NDAs, etc.), and lead cross-functional teams (clinical operations, biostats, pharmacovigilance). Provide medical leadership for audits, regulatory interactions, and external collaborations, representing the Ophthalmology TA externally. Qualifications: MD with ophthalmology training preferred, 8+ years biopharma experience in drug development, with Phase 3 ophthalmology expertise and NDA/BLA experience. Skills include strong communication, strategic planning, data interpretation, and team leadership. High-value specifics: focus on retinal diseases, gene therapy, late-stage development, global regulatory engagement (FDA, EMA), and cross-functional collaboration. Work setup: likely hybrid or remote with domestic and international travel (~20%).
