Vice President, Biologics Research

Role: Vice President, Biologics Research at Insmed, providing scientific and strategic leadership for biologics discovery, engineering, and early-stage development. Responsibilities: define long-term research strategy, oversee discovery and preclinical efforts across modalities including protein engineering, AAV vector, and immunology; support translation into clinical programs and IND readiness; lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of over 50 scientists; collaborate across R&D functions and with external partners to advance biotherapeutics from discovery to first-in-human trials. Requirements: PhD or equivalent with 15+ years in biopharma/biotech R&D; expertise in protein engineering, immunology, and biotherapeutic development; strong leadership and strategic thinking skills; experience in in vivo pharmacology, PK/PD, preclinical CMC, and translational science; excellent communication and collaboration skills. High-Value: biologics, large molecules, AAV gene therapy, immunology, early clinical development, IND enabling studies, cross-functional leadership. WorkSetup: onsite in New Hampshire, with some remote flexibility; travel approximately 5-15%.
