Role Summary
The Vice President and Head of Information Technology will design, implement, and manage the company’s IT infrastructure and strategy. This hands-on leader will build scalable, secure, and compliant systems to support innovation and operational excellence across all functions, partnering with commercial, manufacturing, finance, and HR leaders to launch the company’s lead product.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a forward-looking IT strategy aligned with business priorities and regulatory requirements; partner with executive leadership to drive efficiency and innovation; build and lead a high-performing IT team.
- Enterprise Infrastructure: Build and integrate a global product ordering platform across the patient journey; architect and deploy scalable cloud, network, and on-premise infrastructure; guide selection and implementation of enterprise systems (ERP, LIMS, QMS, HRIS, CRM) to support all functions; ensure interoperability, data integrity, and performance.
- Security & Compliance: Establish and maintain cybersecurity frameworks and data protection protocols; ensure IT practices comply with GxP, HIPAA, GDPR, and other regulations; lead IT audits, risk assessments, and incident response planning.
- Operational Excellence: Provide IT support to all departments; prioritize investments by value and lifecycle stage; manage budgets, vendors, and SLAs; drive automation, analytics, digital transformation, and AI initiatives; lead change management practices.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, with at least 3 years in biotech, pharma, or life sciences.
- Proven success in building IT infrastructure and teams in a high-growth environment, with preference for experience supporting autologous cell therapy launch and commercialization.
- Expertise in SaaS and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), cybersecurity, and enterprise applications.
- Experience with GxP systems, 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP 5, EU Annex 9, ICH Q9 and other regulatory compliance systems in a commercial biotech or clinical setting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills with a client-focused, partnering approach.

Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
