Position Description:
- Hybrid or based out of Philadelphia, PA headquarters.
- Reporting to the CFO, lead the company’s IT infrastructure and strategy; design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, compliant systems supporting operational excellence and innovation. Partner with commercial, manufacturing, finance, and HR to support launch of rese-cel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute forward-looking IT strategy aligned to business priorities and regulatory requirements; implement technology solutions that drive efficiency/innovation; build and lead a high-performing IT team.
- Enterprise Infrastructure: Build/integrate global Cell/Gene product ordering platform; architect and deploy scalable cloud/network/on-prem infrastructure; select and implement enterprise systems (ERP, LIMS, QMS, HRIS, CRM); ensure interoperability, data integrity, and performance.
- Security & Compliance: Establish cybersecurity/data protection frameworks; ensure compliance with GxP, HIPAA, GDPR (as applicable); lead IT audits, risk assessments, and incident response.
- Operational Excellence: Provide IT support across R&D, clinical, regulatory, and finance; manage IT budgets/vendors/SLAs; drive automation, analytics, digital transformation, and AI initiatives; lead change management.
Qualifications:
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 10+ years progressive IT leadership; 3+ years in biotech/pharma/life sciences.
- Experience building IT infrastructure/teams in high-growth environments; preference for autologous cell therapy launch/commercialization.
- Expertise in SaaS/cloud (AWS, Azure), cybersecurity, enterprise applications.
- Experience with GxP systems and regulatory compliance (21 CFR Part 11, GAMP 5, EU Annex 9, ICH Q9).
- Strong leadership, communication, cross-functional collaboration.
