Vice President and Global Head of Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance

Role: Vice President and global Head of Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance (DSPV) at Insmed, overseeing worldwide PV strategy, safety operations, compliance, and transformation initiatives. Responsibilities include leading enterprise PV transformation, building and developing a diverse global team, and representing Insmed externally. The role involves overseeing safety surveillance, signal detection, risk management, and ensuring compliance with global regulations (FDA, EMA, PMDA). It also requires driving digital innovation in PV technologies, integrating AI/ML into workflows, and managing vendor relationships. The leader will collaborate cross-functionally with Clinical Development, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and external stakeholders such as industry groups and health authorities. Qualifications: MD with 15+ years in drug development, 10+ years leading PV organizations, experience with global safety regulations, inspection leadership, and PV technology modernization. Proven executive leadership, strategic vision, and stakeholder management are essential. Experience with rare diseases is preferred. This is a fully remote role with approximately 25% domestic/international travel. High-value specifics include focus on rare diseases, safety science, global regulatory engagement, PV transformation, and advanced safety tech. The position reports to the Chief Medical Officer and involves leadership across Medical Safety, QPPV operations, and PV excellence functions.
