Purpose
The VP, AI Next Frontier will set the global AI strategy and execution for J&J Innovative Medicine to drive competitiveness, execution, optimization, and operationalization across the Global Commercial Strategy Organization (GCSO).

You Will Be Responsible For
- Define and lead global AI strategy, enterprise roadmap, and execution agenda for Innovative Medicine Commercial; identify high-value use cases and fit-for-purpose capabilities.
- Influence senior leadership across GCSO, worldwide/regional commercial orgs, medical affairs, and AI/data functions to align priorities and embed AI into business strategy.
- Shape cross-functional strategy and partnerships with R&D, technology, and enterprise data/AI leaders to enable differentiated capabilities and operating model alignment.
- Own AI investment cases and demonstrate ROI for AI investments exceeding $20MM annually.
- Set priorities and govern budget decisions for global AI external operating/capital expenditures.
- Chair the Worldwide AI Steering Committee and establish governance and decision forums for compliant, value-driven deployment.
- Engage the J&J AI Council to shape strategic priorities and investments.
- Drive integration of AI capabilities into CONNEXT and other customer engagement/commercial initiatives.
- Lead an organization of 6 direct and 10+ indirect leaders.
- Shape and govern an external ecosystem of technology partners and healthcare institutions.

Qualifications / Requirements
- Required: BA/BS; MS/MBA; PhD preferred.
- 15+ years applying AI, product management, machine learning, data engineering/science, and advanced analytics in enterprise, at scale (pharma/life sciences preferred).
- Vice President-level leadership; executive communication; ability to build/scaling AI-enabled products with measurable impact.
- Expertise in modern AI (NLP, LLMs, agentic AI, supervised/unsupervised learning); ability to define AI roadmaps/operating models and govern strategic trade-offs.
- Proven experience selecting/governing external partnerships and influencing executives.
