Veterinary Technician I/II (Relocation assistance available)

Role: Veterinary Technician supporting xenotransplantation research with large pigs at a biotech facility. Responsibilities: provide husbandry, routine veterinary procedures, assist with surgeries, sample collection and processing, and post-operative care; maintain detailed animal health records. Requirements: Associate degree in veterinary tech or animal sciences; 2+ years (Tech I) or 4+ years (Tech II) experience in large animal care; NAVTA licensing; knowledge of animal husbandry, regulations (USDA, FDA, DEA), and data recording. Preferred: bachelor's in veterinary tech or animal sciences, GxP familiarity. High-Value: focus on pig husbandry for xenotransplantation, support of medical procedures, sample handling, and regulatory compliance. Work setup: onsite at Christiansburg, VA; relocation possible; physical ability to lift and push weight.
