Vertex Spring Co-Op 2027, Predictive Models

Role: The Vertex Predictive Models Co-Op is a 6-month, full-time internship supporting the development of predictive in vitro assays for islet engraftment and resilience, focusing on cell-based assay development, functional characterization, and translational biomarker research. Responsibilities include designing and executing experiments under transplantation-relevant stress conditions, analyzing data, documenting protocols, and communicating findings to the team. Qualifications: Enrollment in an advanced degree program (Master's/PhD) in Biological Sciences or related field; experience with cell-based assays, mammalian cell culture, and data analysis; strong organizational and scientific communication skills.
