Vertex Spring 2027 Co-op, Scientific Writing and Disease Area Communications

Role: Scientific Writing and Disease Area Communications Co-op supporting Vertex's research pipeline. Objectives: create internal/external content, support disease awareness, and assist in communications campaigns related to Vertex's drug development programs. Responsibilities: develop pipeline messaging, website copy, social media content, articles, patient/employee stories, and multimedia materials; compile campaign metrics for strategic insights; assist with ongoing communication initiatives. Requirements: pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s in life sciences, journalism, or communications; excellent verbal/written skills; understanding of scientific concepts; prior internship in pharma/biotech communications preferred; self-starter with strong work ethic; available full-time January-June 2027; legal authorization to work in the U.S. No sponsorship provided.
