Role Summary
Role: Vertex Fall Co-op 2026, Global Logistics. The Vertex Global Logistics Co-Op is a six-month experiential training program for students pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related fields. It provides hands-on experience in Global Logistics, including logistics strategy, transportation and warehouse operations, and decision support for new product introductions and strategic initiatives. The program offers exposure to end-to-end pharmaceutical logistics, regulatory requirements, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of life-science products. Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid).
Responsibilities
- Support the logistics strategy team in analyzing transportation, warehousing, and distribution network performance.
- Participate in projects focused on logistics optimization, supplier capability assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to network design to support new product introductions and lifecycle management planning.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, risks, and innovation opportunities within pharmaceutical logistics.
- Provide administrative and analytical support for strategic presentations, supplier meetings, and internal governance reviews.
- Assist in data collection, reporting, and visualization of key logistics metrics such as service level, cost, and compliance.
- Help evaluate logistics partners through performance scorecards and strategic capability benchmarking.
- Support development of logistics standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation to enhance consistency and compliance.
- Gain hands-on exposure to end-to-end pharmaceutical logistics, including cold chain management and regulatory requirements, with collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or another related field
- Preferred: If pursuing a bachelorβs degree, previous co-op/internship experience in Supply Chain
- Problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with supply chain planning, transportation, and warehouse management concepts
- Comfortable working with datasets to generate insights and support strategic decision-making
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Exposure to logistics management systems and Oracle is a plus
- Demonstrated interest in pharmaceutical logistics operations, cold chain logistics, and strategy
- Capacity to work hybrid in Boston, MA
