Role Summary

As a Value Engineering Lead you will have the unique opportunity to shape the future and make a direct impact on patient outcomes. You will play a key role in helping our business stakeholders translate our value chain-based strategy into value-add, TIME-enabled business capabilities that further our return on investment. You will play a key role during the Discovery phases of our Transcend deployment roadmap and will also support the IMFT Strategy & Value team. Location: Little Island, Cork, Ireland; Titusville, New Jersey; Zug, Switzerland.

Responsibilities

  • Value-driven approach: Working with our Finance Value Capture lead and organization, help business stakeholders to translate our value chain-based strategy into value-add, TIME-based business capabilities that further our return on investment. Will play a key role during the Discovery phases of our deployment roadmap.
  • Value Realization Framework: Support the Finance Value Capture lead in the effective implementation and ongoing improvement of our value realization framework. This includes embedding value realization into strategy design & execution, and supporting the program in shaping and influencing value realization across the value chain.
  • Value Realization Metrics & KPI’s: Define and track KPIs for efficiency, value realization, and strategic alignment. Include opportunity loss analysis—quantify risks and missed value if not executed effectively. Contribute to relevant funding/budgeting decisions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key liaison between transformation teams, Finance, and senior leadership. Facilitate workshops and working sessions to align stakeholders on value engineering goals.
  • End-2-End Transformation Mindset: Emphasize the need for “end-to-end” thinking, moving beyond siloed approaches to deliver enterprise-wide solutions. The value engineer should help break down organizational silos, promote cross-functional collaboration, and ensure solutions are scalable and sustainable.
  • Strategic planning: Partnering with the Technology Capability, work with business leaders to inform and develop our strategic capabilities and deployment roadmap, prioritizing projects based on business value and impact. Will also be a key participant in our demand intake governance model.
  • Communication: Facilitate clear communication between business users, Finance, IT and TIME program teams to ensure that SAP solutions align with strategic goals.
  • Technical competency: Stay current with SAP S/4HANA advancements and industry trends to drive continuous opportunities for innovation and value. Support the adoption of novel approaches and technologies that enhance value.
  • Risk management: Proactively identify and address potential risks in achieving our value outcomes.
  • Interdependent Programs: Represent the Strategy team in key interdependency governance forums, to ensure strategic focus on our business priorities and S/4Hana enabled value outcomes across our digital ecosystem.

Qualifications

  • SAP S/4HANA experience: Deep knowledge and extensive experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations, including full-lifecycle experience. At least 5 (ideally 10+) years of experience related to SAP Value Engineering since the introduction of SAP S/4HANA and the advent of RISE / GROW with SAP (incl. embedded AI with SAP).
  • Value Planning Tools: Experience with key strategic tools such as SAP Value Lifecycle Manager (VLM) and SAP Digital Discovery Assessment (DDA); SAP Signavio's process analysis and mining tool (Process Insights, Process Intelligence and Value Accelerators); and SAP's lifecycle and value realization tools. Experience in non-SAP tools for process mining and modelling and intelligence is also valuable.
  • Business acumen: Strong Lifescience business and financial acumen, with an ability to support business partners in translating S/4HANA enabled capabilities and adjacent ecosystem solutions, into tangible value outcomes.
  • Leadership: Proven track record in leading cross-functional initiatives and delivering measurable business impact.
  • Project management: Experience with project management methodologies and managing project workflow, budgets, and resources.
  • Stakeholder management: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with business leaders, and technical teams.
  • Proven ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced, and frequently changing environment. Strong collaboration and stakeholder management, including ability to influence and challenge.
  • Passion for driving change and ability to inspire business adoption of new processes and technology.
