Director, Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Vaccines (West)

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead overall MSL team performance; coach and develop team capabilities.
- Own MSL performance metrics; drive continuous improvement.
- Develop strategy/processes/capabilities to optimize scientific engagement with external experts.
- Ensure consolidated medical insights are shared across the business; represent medical voice of external experts and the patient.
- Integrate MSL team within Medical Affairs; partner cross-functionally to align MSL activities to strategic plans.
- Partner with sales leadership to align ways of working between Sales and MSL.
- Prioritize MSL resources (e.g., budget, staffing) to meet medical plan needs.
- Recruit and onboard MSL talent.
- Ensure MSL compliance with standards, policies, and local laws/codes via sound medical judgment.

Basic Qualifications:
- Accredited doctorate (Pharm.D., D.Sc., D.N.P., Ph.D., or M.D./D.O.).
- 6+ years in an MSL organization.
- 1+ year leading a team.

Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years in Vaccines or Infectious Disease; pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Coaching/leadership/management strengths; strong communication.
- Matrix leadership; cross-functional execution; networking/collaboration.
- Knowledge of pharma governance; operational management; negotiation/influencing.
- Clinical development understanding; statistical design/analysis; analytical/problem-solving.
