Role Responsibilities:
- Supervise Area operations including hiring, live and virtual coaching, representative development, performance management, and assignment of priority accounts; manage 12–14 representatives.
- Develop and implement Area strategic plans, business plan, and District-level budget responsibility aligned with RBD expectations.
- Plan, organize, and monitor performance to achieve Area and Region business potential.
- Ensure effective use of promotional materials; contribute to annual marketing plan formulation; measure field implementation and assess marketing activities.
- Conduct proactive data analysis to identify market trends.
- Collaborate to identify, develop, and motivate key accounts and opportunities impacting regional/national business.
- Build relationships with customers (including KOLs) and key stakeholders (Area/Region management, channel partners, and cross-functional partners); use content appropriately for engagement.
- Develop external advocates and contribute to advocacy/community engagement (as necessary).
- Champion cross-functional collaboration to deliver customer needs while ensuring compliance guardrails are followed.
- Coach representatives on connecting cross-functional colleagues to address customer needs and using digital tools.
- Plan and conduct action plans and meetings with Area management teams, channel partners, and other cross-functional partners.
- Collaborate in an integrated account team.
- Ensure cross-functional partnerships to drive relationships and face-to-face selling.
- Lead cross-functional partnerships to ensure patient services are met (as necessary).
- Maintain strong product/portfolio, disease state, and market knowledge.
- Operate digital/virtual tools/platforms; leverage analytics tools (e.g., 360-degree customer insights).
- Demonstrate advanced virtual communication skills (empathy, listening, probing questions) and flexible time management (F2F vs. virtual).
- Coach and counsel team on improving performance and selling/product knowledge skills; support business plan development.
- Ensure self/team compliance with relevant policies/processes; escalate issues as necessary; uphold integrity; implement Area Standards.
- Apply situational leadership; use multiple coaching methods (F2F and virtual, as appropriate).
- Build team culture, morale, and feedback/continuous improvement; set goals and hold members accountable (time management, technical knowledge, communication, compliance, and technology use).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Must live within 50 miles of the Area boundary.
- 6 years pharmaceutical/biotech/medical marketing or sales experience; at least 3–5 years with demonstrated leadership across peer and customer groups.
- Experience working with key thought leaders/high-influence customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care preferred.
- Travel as needed to develop internal/external relationships.
- Valid US driver’s license; DUI/DWI or impaired driving citation within past 7 years disqualifies.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- MBA or relevant graduate degree.
- 5+ years people management experience; ability to develop/motivate others, lead through change, and deliver on business imperatives.
- Vaccines experience/expertise strongly preferred.

- Strong hybrid customer engagement and virtual/digital tool competency.

Benefits:
- Annual base salary range: $139,000–$280,400; additional Sales Incentive bonus.
