Role Summary
Vaccine Instrumentation Technician Apprentice at GSK Marietta, US, 2026. This entry-level program offers hands-on technical training in a biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment while studying toward an associate degree, fully funded by GSK. Apprentices rotate through manufacturing facilities, receive tailored on-the-job training, and pursue college coursework part-time with a goal of earning a nationally recognized qualification.
Responsibilities
- Assist with complex manufacturing processes in a highly automated, regulated environment, ensuring quality, safety, and accuracy
- Operate highly automated equipment to manufacture products
- Monitor and analyze production processes and data using various instruments and control systems
- Collaborate in teams to improve the functionality of automated equipment and processes
- Follow safety and environmental protection standards and maintain compliant operations
- Maintain a safety-first, quality-everything mindset and participate in daily tier meetings and scheduling as applicable
- Ensure documentation (logbooks, etc.) is complete and accurate
- Complete all required Site, EHS, Instrumentation, Regulatory, and Global training
Qualifications
- Required: High School diploma or equivalent by June 2026; GPA 2.8 or above in English, Biology, Chemistry, and math (Algebra/Geometry or equivalent); less than 36 college credits; written and spoken fluency in English
- Required: Must be 18 years of age by August 1, 2026; less than 2 years of related work experience since high school graduation
- Required: Ability to commute daily to the GSK worksite and related instruction facility (maximum 60 minutes one way)
- Required: Willingness to enroll in and meet entry requirements for a related instruction course at GSK partner community college or technical institution
- Preferred: AP Biology or Chemistry; more than one life science course; High School Physics; High School Pre-Calculus; STEM-related courses (engineering, technology, robotics, shop)
