Role: Operate, monitor, and maintain building utility systems in a pharmaceutical manufacturing setting, ensuring compliance with cGMP standards. Objectives include supporting plant operations by maintaining critical equipment such as chillers, water treatment systems, boilers, and compressed air systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities encompass troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance, system testing, documentation, and participating in safety and operational initiatives. Requirements: High school diploma or GED, State Stationary Engineer Seal or equivalent certification, and at least six months of specialized training in power plant or HVAC operations. Experience: Minimum three years of recent full-time experience operating industrial power plant equipment (e.g., chillers, water systems, boilers), or military-equivalent power plant experience. Desirable skills include operating large centrifugal chillers (>600 tons), high purity water systems, electrical generators, and knowledge of hazardous energy lockout procedures. High-value biopharma specifics: focus on high purity water systems, cGMP compliance, and maintenance within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Work environment involves heavy lifting, confined spaces, and potential exposure to hazardous materials. Shift work across day, evening, and night shifts; travel is not required. Collaboration involves working with maintenance team members, engineering, and plant personnel to ensure utility systems support manufacturing operations.
