Utility Tech-Mech Air Cond/Ref

Role: HVAC/Refrigeration Technician supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing, focusing on installation, maintenance, calibration, repair, and troubleshooting of HVAC and refrigeration systems to ensure compliance with cGMP, safety, and environmental regulations. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining equipment such as compressors, pumps, evaporators, control systems, and BAS; performing leak detection, environmentally compliant refrigerant handling, and system optimization; and managing work using CMMS, work orders, and safety protocols. Qualifications required: High School Diploma or GED, Universal Refrigerant Certification, and at least three years of recent experience maintaining commercial/industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems, including low-temperature refrigeration and systems ≥20 tons. Additional credentials include trade school or recognized apprenticeship completion, military training, or extensive experience (up to 10+ years). Preferred skills involve vendor-specific training, experience with centrifugal chillers, cascade systems, and control calibration, along with proficiency in reading schematics and BAS programing. High-value biopharma specifics: support for manufacturing environments, working with controlled temperature and humidity conditions, and compliance with safety and environmental standards. Work setup: shifts (day, evening, night), no travel required, with potential for confined spaces and hazardous materials handling.
