Responsibilities include operating and maintaining equipment such as compressors, pumps, evaporators, control systems, and BAS; performing leak detection, environmentally compliant refrigerant handling, and system optimization; and managing work using CMMS, work orders, and safety protocols. Qualifications required: High School Diploma or GED, Universal Refrigerant Certification, and at least three years of recent experience maintaining commercial/industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems, including low-temperature refrigeration and systems β₯20 tons. Additional credentials include trade school or recognized apprenticeship completion, military training, or extensive experience (up to 10+ years). Preferred skills involve vendor-specific training, experience with centrifugal chillers, cascade systems, and control calibration, along with proficiency in reading schematics and BAS programing.
