Role Summary

GSK Utilities Technician Apprentice Program, US, 2026, based in Marietta, PA, is a full-time entry-level opportunity for high school graduates and first-year college students to begin a career while studying toward an associate degree funded by GSK. Apprentices are registered with the Department of Labor, rotate through manufacturing facilities, and earn a certificate of completion from the US Department of Labor upon program completion.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with complex manufacturing processes in a highly automated, regulated environment – ensuring quality, safety and accuracy in all that we do
  • Operate our specialized highly automated equipment to manufacture our products
  • Monitor and analyze production processes and data, utilizing various instruments and control systems
  • Work in teams to continuously improve the functionality of our automated equipment and processes
  • Work in a compliant manner to ensure the safety of yourself, others and the protection of the environment
  • Support and drive continuous improvement objectives, participation in daily tier meetings, scheduling assignments as needed
  • Adopt a safety first, quality always mindset

Qualifications

  • Required: High School diploma or equivalent by June 2026
  • Required: High school GPA 2.8 (B) or above (4.0 scale)
  • Required: High school Algebra and Geometry or 2 units of academic math (GPA 2.8 or above in each case)
  • Required: High school English (GPA 2.8 or above)
  • Required: High school Biology and Chemistry (GPA 2.8 or above)
  • Required: Must have less than 36 college credits
  • Required: Language: Written and spoken fluency in English
  • Preferred: Have studied AP Biology or Chemistry
  • Preferred: Have studied more than 1 life science
  • Preferred: Have studied High School Physics
  • Preferred: Have studied High School Pre-Calculus
  • Preferred: Have studied engineering, technology, robotics, shop or STEM-related courses at high school
  • Required: Must be 18 years of age by August 1, 2026
  • Required: Less than 2 years of related work experience since graduating from high school
  • Required: Willingness to enroll in and meet entry requirements with a partnering community college or technical institution in the related instruction course
  • Required: Must be able to commute daily to the GSK worksite and related instruction facility, with a maximum commute time of 60 minutes one way

Additional Requirements

  • Less than 2 years of related work experience since graduating from high school
  • Willing to enroll with a partnering community college or technical institution in the related instruction course
  • Daily commuting requirement to the worksite and instruction facility (maximum 60 minutes one way)
