Utilities Maintenance Technician II - Black Utilities

Role: Maintenance Technician supporting facility utilities at Novo Nordisk's aseptic manufacturing site in Clayton, NC, primarily focusing on refrigeration systems, plant utilities, and GMP compliance. Responsibilities include performing preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment installation, plant shutdown support, and documentation in SAP, with an emphasis on process reliability and continuous improvement using cLEAN principles. The role involves leading problem-solving efforts, guiding junior team members, and supporting system validation and commissioning activities. Requirements: Associate's degree in a relevant field or a minimum of six years' experience with mechanical, electrical, or control systems; proficiency in schematics, electrical troubleshooting, and utility systems (e.g., water, steam, HVAC, refrigeration). Preferred: GMP environment experience, knowledge of automated record systems, and certifications such as EPA 608, NC Electrical License, or CARO/RETA. High-value biopharma specifics include focus on aseptic processes, utility systems critical for injectable manufacturing, and adherence to GMP and safety standards. Collaboration is primarily with the Utilities Manager and plant operations, with work on rotating shifts and potential outdoor or cold environment exposure. The position is onsite with shift work, including nights and extended hours, and requires physical ability to handle equipment and work at heights or in confined spaces.
