Role: Maintenance Technician supporting the pharmaceutical manufacturing of injectable diabetes treatments at Novo Nordisk's NC facility. Responsibilities: perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on plant utilities and process equipment; support plant shutdowns; troubleshoot and inspect refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, and control systems; participate in equipment installation, commissioning, and qualification; develop and improve maintenance procedures; lead problem-solving activities (e.g., root cause analysis); train junior team members; ensure safety and compliance. Requirements: Associate's degree in a relevant field and at least 4 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or control systems; proficiency in reading technical diagrams, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, and working with automated records (SAP/CMMS). Preferred: experience with HVAC, ammonia refrigeration, GMP environments, and certifications like EPA 608, NC electrical license, CARO/RETA. High-value biopharma specifics: supporting aseptic manufacturing, plant utilities, and compliance with GxP standards in a cGMP environment. Scope includes plant shutdowns, utility systems (water, steam, vacuum), and process controls. Collaboration: reports to Maintenance Supervisor, supports process and utility teams. Location: onsite in Clayton, NC, with shift flexibility; working around hazardous materials, confined spaces, and possibly extended hours.
