Role Summary

Utilities Maintenance Mechanic (A1/B1 Shift) — On Premise site. You will oversee maintenance and reliability tasks for utility systems, buildings, and equipment; contribute to team deliverables, and participate in safety and continuous improvement activities. You will follow standard procedures, manage your time and development, and work effectively as part of a multi-craft team.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance and reliability engineering tasks, including the redesign, upkeep, and repair of utility systems, buildings, and equipment.
  • Take responsibility for individual contributions to achieve team deliverables, working effectively as a team member and coordinating with others.
  • Manage personal time and professional development, being accountable for results.
  • Follow standard procedures to complete tasks of varying scope, sequence, and complexity within the agreed timeframe.
  • Identify and solve moderately routine problems.
  • Complete assignments with moderate supervision using established procedures, referring deviations from standard procedures to the supervisor.
  • Ensure work is reviewed for accuracy, quality, and adherence to standards.
  • Participate in multi-craft work activities, assist with plant audits, be involved in safety committee activities, and follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements and protocols.
  • Track repair history of process support systems and equipment, lead or participate in continuous improvement activities, and make recommendations regarding improved machine performance.

Qualifications

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Required: Proficiency in computer usage
  • Required: Solid understanding of basic technical or functional disciplines
  • Required: Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Required: Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Preferred: Background in Biopharma
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Preferred: Solid understanding of Food and Drug Administration PSM
  • Preferred: Experience with continuous improvement activities
  • Preferred: Ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints and schematics
  • Preferred: Excellent time management and organizational skills
