Role Summary

US Medical Director, Dermatology (NextGen Immunology) leading strategic medical affairs in dermatology and rheumatology; requires deep expertise in biologics, RWE generation, and successful launch experience. Reports to the Senior Medical Director, Dermatology & Rheumatology.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive medical strategies for dermatology and rheumatology portfolios aligned with business objectives
  • Spearhead the creation of US Integrated Evidence Generation Plans (IEGPs) in collaboration with cross-functional partners
  • Generate innovative dermatology Real-World Evidence (RWE) addressing evidence gaps and supporting clinical decision-making
  • Translate insights into actionable medical strategies that differentiate Sanofi's dermatology and rheumatology immunology portfolio
  • Identify, engage, and cultivate relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to shape medical strategy
  • Plan and execute high-impact Advisory Boards to generate scientific exchange and guidance
  • Serve as medical authority on the Medical Materials Review Committee (MMRC) ensuring scientific accuracy and compliance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide medical expertise for launches and lifecycle management
  • Develop evidence-based scientific narratives and lead publications/presentations based on RWE
  • Drive medical education initiatives to address provider knowledge gaps and advance patient care

Qualifications

  • Education: MD or equivalent advanced medical degree
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience in Medical Affairs
  • Demonstrated expertise in dermatology and/or rheumatology
  • Proven track record of successful biologic product launches
  • Advanced knowledge of RWE methodologies, data sources, and US applications
  • Understanding of clinical development and regulatory requirements
  • Experience leveraging innovative RWE approaches (retrospective database analyses, prospective observational studies, patient registries)
  • Ability to translate insights into strategic medical initiatives
  • Ability to build and maintain KOL relationships; experience organizing advisory boards
  • Background in medical content review and approval processes
