Clinical Research and Development
Location: Cambridge, MA or Morristown, NJ (Hybrid—3 days/week in-office; ~20% travel)
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement US payer-specific HEVA strategy for the neurology pipeline; execute US HEVA tactics to support launch and lifecycle management.
- Partner with commercial, access, and medical teams to translate HEVA insights into actionable strategies and value demonstration evidence.
- Set US evidence generation priorities for assigned neurology indications; translate Target Value Propositions and US market access strategies into evidence hypotheses, requirements, and generation plans.
- Lead design, execution, and publication of HEOR/HEVA studies (economic modeling, database/observational research, COA development/validation, systematic literature reviews, evidence synthesis, AMCP dossiers).
- Use HEOR methods (e.g., observational analysis, post hoc analyses, meta-analysis, ITC/NMA) to demonstrate value potential; prioritize and address evidence gaps.
- Represent Sanofi at conferences; build relationships with US payers, evidence bodies (e.g., ICER/PDAB/IRA), and patient advocacy organizations.
- Ensure evidence generation investments and vendor relationships meet budget and priority targets; mentor junior team members.
Qualifications / Required
- Advanced degree (PhD, MD, MS, MPH, or PharmD) in a scientific discipline.
- 5+ years in health economics, outcomes research, or related field.
- US product launch experience; strong understanding of US payer evidence requirements and value demonstration.
- Demonstrated HEOR experience (economic modeling, observational research, evidence synthesis, COA development) and evidence-based medicine/clinical research methodology.
- Compliance with internal SOPs and external laws/regulations.
Preferred
- Neurology experience; familiarity with neurodegenerative/movement/neuro-muscular disease launches.
- Experience with US payer advisory boards, formulary submissions, or outcomes-based contracting.
Skills
- Understanding neurology physiopathology and drug mechanisms (including biologics/targeted therapies); health economic modeling; epidemiology/biostatistics; systematic reviews and network meta-analyses.
- Proficiency with HEOR digital tools/data platforms; familiarity with US real-world data sources.
