Upstream Process Development Co-op

Role: Co-op student in molecular biology/biochemistry focusing on oligonucleotide synthesis and analysis within Wave Life Sciences' RNA medicines platform. Objectives: assist in development, purification, and characterization of oligonucleotides across upstream and downstream processes. Responsibilities: prepare synthesis reagents, operate automated synthesizers, perform deprotection, run AKTA and UNICORN software, analyze samples via UPLC and LCMS, and document findings. Requirements: enrollment in relevant science program; strong organizational skills; attention to detail; laboratory experience preferred. High-Value: hands-on training in oligonucleotide synthesis, purification, analytical techniques (NanoDrop, UPLC, LCMS), and instrumentation; exposure to RNA therapeutics development, biotech laboratory environment, and cross-disciplinary teamwork.
