Role Summary
Undergraduate Summer Internships at AstraZeneca in Coppell, TX. Twelve-week paid, full-time internships (40 hours/week) with department-specific activities and a key project to lead, executed and reported to site leadership. Roles span multiple departments with professional development and exposure to AstraZeneca functions.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute a scoped technical project with measurable impact.
- Run GMP-aligned studies and drive data to decisions.
- Communicate and operationalize work with cross-functional teams through presentations and reports.
- Process development batches; perform process control system tasks; equipment and utilities qualification.
- Periodic review of equipment and report writing.
- Evaluate process data and implement process improvement projects; assist with troubleshooting/problem solving.
- Facilitate project meetings; support data analysis for projects; support mapping activities for QC and QA process flow and document updates related to standard work projects.
- Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing operational data; generate reports and visualizations; collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights.
Qualifications
- US Work Authorization at time of application; must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Enrolled to complete a Bachelor's degree related to the listed roles (Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Operations Research, or related field).
- Expected graduation date after August 2026.
- Basic understanding of technical areas related to the internship domain.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Adherence to May 18, 2026 start date.
- Ability to report onsite to Coppell, TX five days a week; no relocation assistance.
- Comfort working in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, implement, and achieve significant, complex goals and objectives.
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
