Role Summary

Undergrad Intern – Business Operations in R&D Strategy & Operations. Join Amgen’s mission to serve patients living with serious illnesses. The internship provides hands-on experience within the R&D Strategy and Operations organization, focusing on driving innovation beyond the molecule and applying digital strategies to simplify processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support one or more BusOps verticals within RDSO to advance the mission, including Budget Planning & Management, Supplier Management, Global Business Transactions Center, Business Analytics, Global Lab Operations, and Business Resilience.
  • Collaborate across multiple functions and levels within Amgen (e.g., R&D, Corporate Affairs, Digital Technology & Innovation, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging).
  • Engage in project-based and experiential learning over approximately 12 weeks.

Qualifications

  • Required: 18 years or older; currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor‚Äôs Degree program with a 3.0+ GPA; completion of one year of study prior to internship; must be enrolled in a full-time Bachelor‚Äôs program following the internship; not employed at internship start; located in the United States for the duration of the internship; authorized to work in the U.S. for the duration of the program (sponsorship for future roles not guaranteed).
  • Preferred: pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Management Sciences, Life Sciences, Engineering, Communications, Psychology, Human Resources, Information Science or similar; strong written and verbal communication; highly organized with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines; enthusiastic, proactive, and willing to learn; adaptability to ambiguity; basic understanding of project management concepts.
