Role: Postdoctoral Researcher in Data Analytics & Computational Sciences focusing on agentic AI for neurodegeneration within Johnson & Johnson's Innovative Medicine division. Objectives include developing multi-modal neurodegenerative disease models and establishing evaluation frameworks for AI systems that synthesize pathology, imaging, omics, and clinical data. Responsibilities encompass integrating heterogeneous biomedical data, designing benchmarks for AI reasoning across modalities, and translating findings into scientific publications and drug discovery insights. Qualifications: PhD or MD/PhD in neuroscience, neurobiology, or related fields completed within the last 3 years; expertise in neurodegenerative disease biology; hands-on experience with neuroimaging, digital pathology, omics, or clinical data; familiarity with large language models/agentic AI, and proficiency in Python and ML frameworks. Preferred skills include building data pipelines, knowledge of evaluation methodologies, NLP expertise, graph analytics, and cloud infrastructure. The role involves collaboration with AI scientists and academic partners, with a focus on AI-based hypothesis generation and validation in neurodegeneration research. It is a 2-year fixed-term position located in one of several US offices (no remote option). High-value specifics include neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s), modalities such as PET, MRI, digital pathology, multi-omics, and longitudinal data, with a strong emphasis on AI evaluation and translational neuroscience.
