Role: Postdoctoral researcher in Data Analytics & Computational Sciences focusing on agentic AI for neurodegeneration within Johnson & Johnson's Innovative Medicine division. Objectives: develop AI frameworks integrating multi-modal neuroscience data to advance understanding and hypotheses in neurodegenerative diseases. Responsibilities include characterizing and harmonizing diverse biomedical data modalities (pathology, neuroimaging, omics, clinical), building evaluation standards for AI reasoning across modalities, and translating findings into scientific publications and practical guidance. Collaboration involves working with AI scientists at J&J and academic partners like Washington University, with mentorship in neurodegeneration and AI evaluation. Requirements: PhD (or MD/PhD) in neuroscience, neurobiology, biomedical informatics, or related field, completed within 3 years or soon; experience with neurodegenerative disease biology and multiple data modalities; proficiency in Python, ML frameworks, and familiarity with agentic AI architectures. Preferred skills include data pipeline development, AI benchmarking, NLP techniques, graph analytics, and cloud infrastructure knowledge. The position is fixed-term (2 years) and based in one of several US offices (no remote work). High-value biopharma specifics involve neurodegeneration, multi-modal data integration, AI evaluation frameworks, and translational research in a clinical and drug discovery context.
