Role Summary

Toxicologic Pathology externship at Regeneron’s DSP (Drug Safety and Pharmacometrics) for a 2-week paid program located at Regeneron’s Tarrytown, NY site. The externship provides exposure to preclinical safety and discovery pathology activities, with access to transgenic rodents and digital pathology tools. Ideal for veterinary anatomic pathology residents or fellows seeking focused experience in toxicologic and rodent pathology.

Responsibilities

  • Gain microscopical pathology experience with rodents (mice and rats).
  • Engage with digital pathology and image analysis in discovery and preclinical safety contexts.
  • Preview preclinical safety and discovery pathology activities within a pharmaceutical setting.
  • Access transgenic rodent models to broaden exposure beyond standard residency training.

Qualifications

  • Required: Currently enrolled in a veterinary anatomic pathology residency or employed in a veterinary pathology fellowship; some experience evaluating diagnostic case material.
  • Preferred: Prior completion of a pathology residency; demonstrated interest and ongoing experience in anatomic pathology, particularly histopathology.
