Role Summary
Thought Leader Liaison in UPLIZNA - North Carolina (Rare Disease). Territory covers North Carolina. This role is responsible for executing peer-to-peer strategies, building relationships with thought leaders, and coordinating cross-functional activities to support the Neuroimmunology Business Unit’s objectives.
Responsibilities
- Significant customer-facing time, building relationships with existing and new thought leaders for involvement in current and future commercial activities
- Create local peer-to-peer strategies in coordination with national and regional strategic marketing and sales plans
- Liaise with sales and marketing to ensure thought leader concerns/needs are addressed promptly
- Collaborate with the advocacy team to develop relationships with key physician and patient organizations
- Create and execute short-term and long-term KOL engagement plans
- Capture and share thought leader insights to inform brand strategy and lifecycle planning
- Identify evidence gaps across product and disease education through thought leader discussions
- Disseminate insights to marketing, sales, and market access to drive strategic planning
- Coordinate leadership interactions at national/regional conferences and state society events
- Initiate opportunities to involve Amgen in programs with thought leaders
- Assist with speaker events, including speaker selection, training, and program review to ensure compliant messaging
- Collaborate with marketing on peer-to-peer programs and contribute to the speaker bureau
- Contribute to content development by providing customer insight and perspective
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: Doctorate with 2 years of marketing or sales experience; or Master’s with 4 years; or Bachelor’s with 6 years; or Associate’s with 10 years; or High school/GED with 12 years
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Customer-facing pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience
- Experience in neurology, rheumatology, and/or gastroenterology
- Exposure to multiple sclerosis and MS centers
- Clinical experience in rare diseases or specialty biologics
- Thought leader or KOL leadership experience
- Track record of cross-functional achievement and strategic action planning
- Cross-functional collaboration and leadership abilities
- Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and time management skills
- Clinical/business acumen
Travel/Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time, including weekends and overnight programs
- Must reside within territory boundaries
