Therapy Access Manager (TAM) Responsibilities
- Manage defined accounts in a specific region/territory to support access for providers and patients, including education on access services and reimbursement solutions.
- Execute a territory strategic plan with internal/external stakeholders (e.g., call center/HUB services, market access, other matrix partners).
- Serve as payer expert for the assigned geography; communicate payer changes to key stakeholders.
- Ensure understanding of reimbursement process, specialty pharmacies, field reimbursement services, and UT patient support program; advise on patient-level reimbursement issues in compliance with policies/Rules of Engagement.
- Manage daily activities supporting appropriate patient access in provider offices; liaison to other patient assistance/access support services.
- Compliantly serve/support customers as an extension of patient support; provide in-person customer visits.
- Participate in cross-matrix/team meetings and calls; log call activity in the CRM.
- Provide ongoing office education and awareness across the access process (formulary coverage/utilization management, insurance forms/procedures, benefits investigation, prior authorization, appeal, and/or claims resolution).
- Educate physician office staff on patient support services using approved UT materials, including web-based provider portals and other tools/resources.

Territory
- KS, NE, IA, MO, Southern IL, IN, KY, TN (live within assigned territory required).

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 6+ years OR PhD/PharmD with 2+ years.
- 1+ year experience in Market Access and/or Field Reimbursement supporting specialty products.
- Experience with specialty/biologic products and/or complex reimbursement.
- Experience educating HCPs on client-specific patient service programs (e.g., copay support, nurse education, patient assistance).
- Ability to manage ambiguity and problem-solve.
- Solution-oriented mindset; strong business acumen and analytic capabilities.
- Ability to manage >50% travel.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s, PhD, or PharmD.
- Experience in cardiology or pulmonology.
- Experience with rare/orphan drugs.
- Demonstrated ability to educate offices on access processes and issue resolution.
- Experience delivering educational presentations in person and/or via Zoom/Webex/Teams.
- Advanced medical insurance terminology knowledge.
- Knowledge of CMS policies/processes with expertise in Medicare (Part B and Part D).
