Therapeutic Specialist, HBV (Houston, Austin, San Antonio territory)
Responsibilities
- Represent Gilead products/services to a defined customer base; generate/grow sales and achieve/exceed targets in assigned geography via in-person and face-to-face meetings with healthcare practitioners.
- Build strong relationships with healthcare practices; provide disease awareness information, clinical updates, and communicate healthcare changes.
- Present and communicate complex clinical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Develop and implement a territory business plan; monitor sales progress and create action plans.
- Prepare territory budget plans (customer contacts, unrestricted educational grants, speaker events, external expenditures).
- Partner cross-functionally (Medical Scientists, National Account Managers, Therapeutic Center Specialists, Marketing, etc.); may co-promote with external partners.
- Identify and resolve issues/opportunities; communicate proactively to marketing and sales leadership.
- Report adverse events per required guidelines.
- Complete required administrative tasks (call activity/customer info reporting, expenses).
- Adhere to applicable policies and promote compliance; demonstrate peer leadership.
Qualifications
- Basic: 5+ years with BS/BA OR 3+ years with MS/MA.
- Preferred: BA/BS; 4+ years pharmaceutical sales with 2+ years specialty pharmaceutical experience; superior selling skills in competitive markets; proven track record meeting/exceeding sales objectives (specialty preferred); product launch experience.

Compensation/Benefits (explicit)
- Salary range: $115,260–$149,160; may include discretionary bonus, long-term incentives, paid time off, and company-sponsored medical/dental/vision/life insurance.
