Therapeutic Specialist, HBV (Houston, Austin, and San Antonio territory)
Responsibilities:
- Represent Gilead products and services to a defined customer base; generate and grow sales by consistently achieving/exceeding sales targets within a geographic area.
- Conduct in-person/f2f representation with healthcare practitioners; establish strong working relationships with healthcare practices.
- Provide disease awareness information, clinical/educational updates, and communicate healthcare changes.
- Synthesize complex clinical concepts for diverse audiences; use strong presentation and communication skills.
- Develop and implement a territory business plan (meet customer needs, achieve sales goals, monitor progress, create action plans).
- Prepare territory budget plans for customer contacts, unrestricted educational grants, speaker events, and other external expenditures.
- Partner with Medical Scientists, National Account Managers, Therapeutic Center Specialists, Marketing, and other internal teams; may co-promote with outside partners.
- Identify and resolve issues/opportunities; communicate proactively to marketing and sales management.
- Report adverse events to Drug Safety and Public Health and other internal departments as required.
- Perform required administrative tasks (e.g., call activity/customer info reporting, submitting expenses).
- Adhere to applicable regulatory, state/federal/company policies, procedures, ethics, and commercial compliance requirements.
- Demonstrate peer leadership in compliance and appropriate conduct.

Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years with BS/BA OR 3+ years with MS/MA.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree.
- 4+ years pharmaceutical sales experience and 2+ years specialty pharmaceutical experience.
- Superior selling skills in highly competitive markets; proven record meeting/exceeding sales objectives (preferably specialty markets).
- Previous product launch experience in a highly competitive environment.
