Role Summary
Therapeutic Sales Specialist in Chicago (field-based) focused on launching and promoting products within an assigned territory. Acts as a patient champion with strong business and clinical acumen to drive product launches and address unmet patient needs. Represents the company with integrity and works cross-functionally to achieve corporate objectives.
Responsibilities
- Meeting and/or exceeding sales goals in an assigned territory by developing, implementing, and executing an integrated territory business plan encompassing key customer targets
- Demonstrate subject matter expertise concerning scientific and clinical information for Acoramidis
- Engage customers in clinically relevant discussions using approved materials with a customer-centric approach
- Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for growth or areas of concern in the territory
- Be responsible for territory business planning and execution of key company initiatives
- Adhere to company guidelines, uphold honesty, integrity, trust, respect, and accountability, and comply with all policies and regulations
- Compliantly partner with Medical Science Liaisons, Field Reimbursement, Patient Access, HUB, and other cross-functional teams to ensure high customer satisfaction
- Develop and implement a dynamic territory business plan by analyzing the business, competitive landscape, and territory market; build professional relationships with targeted KOLs, physicians, medical staff, and hospital personnel
- Navigate the hospital formulary process and implement strategies for successful product positioning and availability
- Anticipate business challenges, adjust priorities, demonstrate flexibility, and develop solutions
- Maintain proficiency in selling skills, clinical and product knowledge, and the territory business environment
- Collaborate with peers and company personnel to achieve corporate objectives
- Plan and organize schedules for maximum efficiency
- Represent the company professionally and ethically
- Complete tasks and projects assigned by Sales Leadership
- Ensure all activities comply with regulations and pharmaceutical guidelines
Qualifications
- 8+ years of successful experience in the pharmaceutical industry with 5+ years in Rare Disease/Cardiology/Specialty/ATTR
- BS/BA required; MBA preferred but not required
- Experience with product/indication launches in highly competitive markets
- Strong leadership, planning and organization, analytics, business acumen, decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and execute on plans
- Proven leadership with accountability
- Ability to influence without authority, internally and externally
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency with remote technology to engage customers
- Adherence to high ethical standards
- Significant travel is required
