Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead Genitourinary (GU) and Melanoma Clinical Research groups and serve as Therapeutic Area Head for mid-to-late-stage development.
- Lead GU malignancy and melanoma programs transitioning from early to late-stage design/execution; manage end-to-end lifecycle for selected GU/melanoma assets with potential across diseases.
- Create and implement disease area strategy to drive programs through approval/registration/access.
- Ensure optimal design/monitoring of clinical programs and highest-quality team documents (protocols, governance, regulatory, external communications, publications).
- Interface with R&D, CORE, Global Human Health, and Manufacturing to ensure decision-making and operational excellence.
- Support business development by identifying/assessing new assets and leading clinical strategy.
- Chair DRC committees for phase 2/3 protocol optimization.
- Lead, develop, and coach teams; focus on quality execution, collaboration, and talent growth.
- For partnered compounds, represent the company on joint development committees.
Qualifications:
- M.D. with significant expertise in Medical Oncology; at least 15 years academic and/or industry experience; adult oncology fellowship (or equivalent) preferred.
- Recognized expert in specialty/clinical research and scientific/medical/regulatory environments.
- Demonstrated leadership, strategic resource allocation, and regulatory submission/health authority interaction experience.
Skills/Experience:
- Medical/translational sciences; clinical and predictive biomarker development; phase 2β3 program design.
- Ownership of end-to-end lifecycle management (design, execution, readout, submission, registration cross-functional access plan).
- Sound clinical judgment; credibility and ability to represent the company externally.
