Role: The Therapeutic Account Manager (TAM) focuses on driving business growth and patient impact in rare cholestatic liver diseases through strategic account management and healthcare professional engagement. Responsibilities include developing and executing territory plans, building relationships with high-opportunity accounts, and advancing disease awareness, diagnosis, and treatment pathways. The TAM collaborates cross-functionally with Medical, Market Access, and Patient Services teams, providing insights to optimize strategies and support patient care. They develop deep clinical knowledge of rare liver diseases, diagnostic processes, and treatment options, communicating complex data credibly to healthcare providers. The role emphasizes influencing clinical decision-making, reframing disease awareness gaps, and fostering trust with diverse stakeholders, often operating across multidisciplinary care teams. Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience—preferably in high-science, rare disease, or hepatology markets—and strong clinical aptitude. Experience in account-based selling, access, reimbursement, and patient pathways is essential. The ideal candidate demonstrates high emotional intelligence, resilience, self-motivation, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, unstructured environment. This position involves up to 70% travel, including overnight stays, and requires a strategic, insight-led approach to influence complex healthcare ecosystems and improve patient outcomes in rare liver conditions.
