Role: Therapeutic Account Manager (TAM) specializing in rare cholestatic liver diseases, responsible for driving business performance and patient impact within an assigned territory. Responsibilities include developing and executing territory strategic plans, identifying high-opportunity accounts, building trusted relationships with healthcare professionals across hepatology and gastroenterology, and advancing disease awareness, diagnosis, treatment initiation, and persistence. The TAM also collaborates cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and other teams to optimize customer engagement, gather field insights, and support business objectives. The role demands deep clinical knowledge of rare liver diseases, diagnostic pathways, mechanisms of action, safety, and reimbursement landscapes, with tailored scientific communication and insight-led influencing skills. The candidate must excel in account-based selling, navigate complex referral networks, and demonstrate high emotional intelligence and resilience to influence change in sophisticated healthcare settings. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree (advanced preferred), 5+ years of progressive pharma/biotech sales experience, preferably in rare diseases, hepatology, or complex specialties, with proven success in complex stakeholder engagement and strategic planning. Experience with access/reimbursement and patient support pathways is advantageous. The role involves up to 70% travel, including overnight stays, and requires exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and ethical standards to operate effectively in a fast-moving, high-science environment.
