The TAM develops deep clinical expertise, engaging clinicians as credible peers, delivering complex scientific information, and influencing clinical practice to improve disease awareness, diagnosis, and treatment persistence. Collaborative cross-functional engagement with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, and other teams is essential for aligning account plans and capturing field insights. The role emphasizes a patient-centric approach, emphasizing trust, empathy, and understanding the patient journey. The TAM demonstrates entrepreneurial drive, resilience, and high emotional intelligence to navigate complex, evolving rare disease landscapes. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree (advanced preferred), 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech sales with proven success in complex or rare disease markets, particularly hepatology or gastroenterology. Strong clinical aptitude, account-based selling skills, knowledge of access and reimbursement, and the ability to interpret performance data are required. The role demands exceptional interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and the capacity to travel up to 70%, including overnight stays. High-value specifics include experience with rare diseases, hepatology/gastroenterology, and working in a highly scientific, complex therapeutic environment.
