Role: The Therapeutic Account Manager (TAM) focuses on driving business performance and patient impact in rare cholestatic liver diseases, building deep clinical expertise and developing strategic account plans. Responsibilities include managing high-opportunity accounts within hepatology and gastroenterology, engaging healthcare professionals as credible peers, and influencing clinical decision-making and referral pathways. The TAM collaborates cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and other teams to optimize patient journeys, improve disease awareness, and support treatment initiation and persistence, all while ensuring compliant, evidence-based engagement. They develop territory strategies based on performance data and market insights, prioritize key accounts, and foster trusted relationships with diverse healthcare stakeholders. The role demands strong clinical aptitude, experience in rare or complex diseases (preferably hepatology or gastroenterology), account-based selling skills, and familiarity with access/reimbursement landscapes. The ideal candidate holds at least a bachelorβs degree, 5+ years of pharma/biotech sales experience, with a proven track record in specialty, rare disease, or high-science markets. Exceptional communication, emotional intelligence, strategic thinking, resilience, and ethical conduct are essential. The position involves up to 70% travel, with a focus on building influence in complex healthcare environments. It requires entrepreneurial drive, high ownership, and adaptability within a dynamic, evolving rare disease setting.
