The TAM maintains deep clinical knowledge of rare liver diseases, diagnostic pathways, mechanisms of action, and product profiles, delivering complex scientific information credibly and tailoring discussions to customer needs. The role emphasizes influencing clinical decision-making, reframing disease management gaps, and collaborating cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Patient Services to optimize patient support and access. The TAM operates with high ownership, resilience, and entrepreneurial drive, navigating complex accounts and markets, and contributing insights for strategic decision-making. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred), 5+ years pharma/biotech sales experience, with strong preference for rare disease, hepatology, or gastroenterology backgrounds. Proven success in account-based selling, understanding of access/reimbursement, and the ability to build trust with sophisticated healthcare professionals are essential. The position entails up to 70% travel, including overnight trips, and is designed for a highly motivated individual capable of working independently in a fast-evolving rare disease environment.
