Role: Therapeutic Account Manager (TAM) responsible for driving business performance and patient impact in rare cholestatic liver diseases. Responsibilities include developing and executing territory strategies, building trusted relationships with healthcare professionals, and managing high-opportunity accounts within hepatology and gastroenterology. The TAM engages clinicians as a peer, influences clinical decision-making, and promotes disease awareness, diagnosis, treatment initiation, and persistence, aligned with compliance standards. Collaborates cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Patient Services to optimize patient care pathways and overcome barriers. Maintains deep clinical knowledge of rare liver diseases, diagnostic processes, mechanisms of action, and product profiles. Uses insight-led, account-based selling techniques, demonstrating resilience, high emotional intelligence, and a customer-centric approach. Ensures accurate record-keeping, forecasts, and administrative compliance. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required, with 5+ years of progressive pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience, ideally in rare diseases, hepatology, or complex specialty markets. Strong clinical aptitude, expertise in account-management, and understanding of access and reimbursement are essential. Proven ability to influence healthcare decision-makers, build trust, and operate independently in a fast-paced environment. Demands up to 70% travel, including overnight trips. High-value specifics include focus on rare cholestatic liver diseases, hepatology, gastroenterology, and multidisciplinary care teams.
