Role Summary
The Territory Manager, Sales is responsible for on-label promotion and execution of sales strategies for approved Esperion products to targeted customers within the posted geographic area. As a member of the field sales force, the Territory Manager handles all aspects of personal promotion within the assigned geography and implements Esperion sales processes in a compliant, effective, and efficient manner. This role reports to the Regional Sales Manager. Territory: Cleveland, OH.
Responsibilities
- Achieve individual territory sales goals as approved by Esperion Commercial Leadership
- Review performance metrics with the RSM to ensure the territory achieves maximum sales results
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with key customers in the assigned geography
- Effectively promote and educate Health Care Providers (HCPs) on Esperion products through one-on-one meetings, virtual engagements, and other approved programs
- Analyze local market trends, develop, execute and monitor performance to maximize appropriate use of Esperion products
- Demonstrate successful use of sales and marketing tools and resources to achieve business objectives
- Maintain knowledge of product payor coverage to deliver against market access objectives
- Attend local, regional and national congresses to promote Esperion brands to HCP attendees
- Complete administrative tasks accurately and timely (sample inventory, call submission & reporting, expense management, mileage reporting, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, complete required training, and align with company values
- Follow expense guidelines and allocate territory budget
- Establish and maintain effective communications with RSMs and TMs; monitor performance to maximize territory potential
- Maintain consistency between Sales and Marketing efforts and uphold high standards for initiatives
- Collaborate with sales leadership and Market Access to maximize payer pull-through
- Maintain vendor credentialing requirements (e.g., VendorMate, RepTrax) to access customer locations
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree; 1–3 years of pharmaceutical or relevant sales experience or equivalent education/experience
- Required: Willing and able to travel up to 30% including overnight stays for territory business and occasional regional/national meetings
- Required: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record meeting company standards
- Required: Documented track record of high performance in sales, academics, athletics, or similar
- Required: Ability to work in a start-up/entrepreneurial sales environment with sole responsibility for product promotion across a large geography
- Required: Ability to embrace a performance-driven and growth-oriented culture

- Required: Excellent presentation and communication skills; ability to influence varied audiences
- Required: Strong interpersonal and selling skills
- Preferred: Degree in sciences (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Kinesiology, Pre-med, other STEM) or related background
- Preferred: Military background or similar experience demonstrating drive and discipline
- Preferred: Experience calling on or working with Healthcare Professionals
