Role Summary

The Territory Manager, Sales is responsible for on-label promotion and execution of sales strategies for approved Esperion products to targeted customers within the Denver, CO geographic area. As a member of the field sales force, the role conducts personal promotion within the assigned territory, implements approved sales processes, and ensures compliant, effective, and efficient promotion. This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve individual territory sales goals as approved by Esperion Commercial Leadership
  • Review performance metrics with RSM to ensure territory is achieving maximum sales results
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with key customers in the assigned geography
  • Effectively promote and educate Health Care Providers (HCPs) on the use of Esperion products through one-on-one meetings, virtual engagements, approved speaker programs, and other approved programs
  • Analyze local market trends, develop, execute and monitor performance and results to maximize appropriate use of Esperion products
  • Demonstrate successful use of sales and marketing tools and resources to achieve business objectives
  • Demonstrate and maintain knowledge of Esperion product payor coverage to support market access objectives
  • Periodically attend local, regional, and national congresses to promote Esperion brands to HCP attendees
  • Complete administrative tasks accurately and timely (sample inventory, call submission & reporting, expense management, vehicle mileage, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with all corporate policies, complete required compliance training, and uphold company values
  • Follow expense report guidelines and adhere to the territory budget
  • Establish and maintain effective communications among Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and Territory Managers (TMs); monitor performance to maximize territory potential
  • Maintain consistency between Sales and Marketing efforts and uphold high standards for business initiatives
  • Work with sales leadership and Market Access to maximize pull-through from commercial and government payers
  • Maintain vendor credentialing requirements for access to customer locations
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred degree in sciences (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Kinesiology, Pre-med, other STEM) and 1–3 years of pharmaceutical or relevant sales experience; or equivalent education and experience
  • Military background or similar experience demonstrating drive and discipline considered
  • Experience calling on or working with Healthcare Professionals preferred but not required
  • Documented track record of consistent high performance in sales, academics, athletics, or similar endeavours
  • Desire to work in a start-up environment or entrepreneurial sales model with sole responsibility of product promotion within a large geographic territory

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred sciences background as noted above

Additional Requirements

  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 30% including overnight stays for territory business and occasional Regional and National Sales Meetings
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record that meets company standards
