Territory Manager (PCP) (Bakersfield CA)

Role Summary

The Primary Care Territory Manager sells and promotes the organization's products in a defined region or major geographical area. This role involves building effective customer relationships, applying business analytics, and developing account and territory plans to drive sales results. Travel may be required to cover a broad territory and meet customers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate selling skills and pull-through execution by strategically and tactically allocating resources to drive results
• Develop effective customer relationships and leverage them to drive results
• Demonstrate knowledge of business analytics including customer data, resources, and tools
• Build account and territory plans
• Utilize available data to target and access the most valuable accounts
• Demonstrate expertise across the product portfolio, therapeutic areas, and managed care
• Effectively manage territory by analyzing data to target high-prescribing HCPs
• Develop and deliver sales presentations to target HCPs
• Meet or exceed call average and sales performance expectations
• Demonstrate market and industry knowledge relative to product portfolio and competitors
• Apply clinical and disease-state knowledge to inform patients and providers
• Complete administrative tasks in a timely manner
• Attend sales training classes, sales meetings, and national/regional conferences

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor’s degree
• Preferred: 2+ years of business-to-business sales experience with a demonstrated track record
• Preferred: Previous pharmaceutical sales experience
• Required: Resides in or near the assigned geography
• Required: Valid driver’s license with a good driving history
• Required: Performing other job-related duties as assigned
• Required: Strong business acumen, teamwork, collaboration, accountability, tenacity, and communication skills

Additional Requirements

• Overnight travel may be required
• Driving in a geographically large territory for long periods of time each day
